For those who heard about the short story I mentioned posting a few months ago: Its time is neigh. My university's campus literary magazine has a deadline of February 10, so that writing MUST be done by then. I'll also be posting a second story that I started this week that I want to enter into the magazine as well. Wish me luck.
I almost forgot to say this, and this is important. Your scans have to be smaller. Most people get irritated looking at overly large images, because you can't get it all in in one eyefull. ^^
As far as art goes, you seem to have potential; you just need to nourish it. Darker drawings with more value would definitely be something to strive for. As far as people go, I would do some studying up on anatomy. You are on the right path first off, because you aren't copying anime... and that my friend, is soemthing to be proud of these days.
I'm going to be watching you to see your progress. Remember - don't be afraid to experiment, draw darker, and life draw like crazy! Check out artist's anatomy books from the library, and don't be afraid to sketch yourself reference in your own sketchbook from the anatomy books. Having something like that in close reference is always a good thing. Heck... I just carry a small book with me wherever I go.
Oh, as far as writing goes, I'll have to get to that. Haven't read any of it yet... Unless you have none up. Oh well if you do, Oh well if you don't.
